Fullerton Slugs Ambers to 8-4 Win
The Camaguey Tinajon and Akron Ambers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Akron Ambers powered past the Camaguey Tinajon, 8-4, at Tinajon Ballpark. Lucas Fullerton was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice, to lead the charge. Akron reliever Francisco Romo picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Lúcio Ríos was tagged with the loss.

Fullerton had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Lúcio Ríos, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Ambers a 8-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Fullerton.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Fullerton said.

The loss puts Camaguey at 1-1.
