Red Racers Upend Tourists, 4-0
|
Joplin Red Racers starter Cameron MacColl turned in an exceptional performance against the Santo Domingo Tourists at Estadio Quisqueya, resulting in a Joplin win, 4-0. Earning his 1st save for Joplin was Jorge Trujillo. The defeat makes Santo Domingo 1-1.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Michihiro Sakei? The Joplin right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Red Racers on top, 2-0. For the game, Sakei had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Sakei said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
