Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Deltas
Sacramento beat Boise on the strength of starter Lawrence Adams's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Adams went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-0. Boise is now 6-6.

Sacramento used a clutch hit from Alex Cunningham to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Deltas ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"This was a tough loss," said Boise manager Gilberto Caro. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
