Lobsters Fall to Reckoning, 4-2
|
The Rockville Reckoning got a stellar performance from pitcher Joshua Waterhouse, who handcuffed the Maine offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Argonauts Ballpark. Waterhouse, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Ángel Mejas finished the game for Rockville and earned his 1st save.
Wes Carlson, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2036 draft, contributed to the Rockville win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"It's a mindset," said Waterhouse. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The Reckoning, now 2-0, have stormed out of the gates.
