Remuda Topple Oilers, 3-0
|
Conditions were not ideal but Boise and Long Beach were able to put their game in the books.
Getting an impressive start from Josh García, Boise beat Long Beach by the score of 3-0. García went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 2. His record improves to 1-0.
Boise used the clutch hitting of Dylan Calcutt to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Remuda the lead, 1-0. For the game, Calcutt had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Boise manager Gilberto Caro.
The win gives Boise a record of 3-2.
