Takanobu Nakashima helped his team muscle past the Punta Cana Mamajuanas, 4-1. In the game, the Port Royal right fielder went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Alfredo Corona, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.2 innings. The last-place Privateers improved to 33-56.
Orlando Ramos dealt the Mamajuanas a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Port Royal leading 1-0, Ramos hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.
Ramos attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
