The Aurora Borealis picked up a win at The Oaks at Aera Field, knocking off the Bakersfield Bears, 2-1. On the mound for Aurora was right-hander Jung-hyun Yi, who played a pivotal role in the win. Yi got the win, improving to 8-8. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Yi allowed 1 run. Héctor Gutiérrez nailed down his 25th save.

Raúl Muñóz, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Muñóz contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Aurora up, 2-0.
