Scottish took on London in front of a lively crowd.
The Scottish Claymores picked up a win at The Castle, taking down the London Underground, 8-3. Starting pitcher Andrés Suárez was a big reason why. Suárez picked up the win for Scottish, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0.
Rob Woodard, who finished 5th in the IL in OPS with .945 in 2037, helped out the Scottish cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Woodard told the Scottish Daily News.
The loss drops London to 7-3.
