Imperialists Find a Way to Win
The Ewa Beach Imperialists topped the Kilauea Volcanoes by a score of 6-5. Leading the way was first baseman Kanko Gato. Gato went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 doubles. He scored 2 times for the Imperialists. Soetsu Kawano, credited with the win, is now 5-4. He allowed no runs on no hits. The Imperialists have an impressive 61-20 record.

The knockout blow came in the bottom of the tenth inning. That's when right fielder Josh Shipway stepped to the plate with a runner on 2nd and hit a run-scoring single, to win the ballgame.

"This wasn't a good win," said Gato. "It was a great win."
