Reno Zephyrs starter Martin Brown was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Yuma Arroyos, 7-3. In 6.1 innings, Brown surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Reno, at 60-38, holds down first place in the Sovereign League Desert Hills.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ricardo Losa, the fan favorite ? Losa stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Reno up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Reno skipper António Morales. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
