With right fielder José Padilla leading the charge, the Mogadishu Pirates defeated the Port Sudan Tycoons, 4-3, at Nasra Agil Stadium. Padilla, who is tied for 4th in the IBC in extra base hits with 47, was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Robbie Lane recorded the save for Mogadishu, his 19th of the season. The win gives Mogadishu a season record of 48-24.

Padilla had a key at-bat for Mogadishu early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 40th home run of the season and gave Mogadishu an early 2-0 lead.

Port Sudan manager Pedro Barrón said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
