Raiders Lose, 6-1, to Mogadishu
|
The Mogadishu Pirates went home winners at Haboob Field, thanks in large part to starter José Medina. Medina stifled the Khartoum Raiders, enabling Mogadishu to grab the 6-1 win. José Medina picked up the win in relief for Mogadishu, while Josh Lidstone took the loss. The Raiders, now 32-30, have lost 4 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Mogadishu, had it not been for Kenny Reed, the 18-year old shortstop . Reed contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Mogadishu up, 2-0.
"This is a very good team," said Reed. "We have the chance to do something special."
