The Auckland Aces BC got a superb performance from pitcher Logan Larsen. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Melbourne. The Bitters won the game, 6-1. Larsen threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. Melbourne reliever Roberto Marquis picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Logan Larsen was tagged with the loss. Melbourne leads the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Tasman League by 6 games.

Melbourne used the bat of Ton Missel to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bitters ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Good win for us," said Missel. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
