2-1 Win Takes Aces BC to 39-36
|
The Wagga Wagga Crows got a superb performance from pitcher Francisco Rodríguez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Auckland. The Aces BC won the game, 2-1. Rodríguez threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win was credited to Reginald Keitel in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Rodrigo Rincán took the loss. Javier Morales picked up the save, his 19th.
Yuan-zhang Au-Yong drew 1 walk for Auckland. The 18-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Rodrigo Rincán. It was his 15th walk of the season.
Au-Yong called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
Auckland is third in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Tasman League with a record of 39-36.
