Guerrero Deals Okinawa 2-0 Setback
|
The Bakersfield Bears defeated the Okinawa Shisa, 2-0, in Sovereign League action at The Oaks at Aera Field. Bakersfield pitcher Juan Guerrero had a standout performance. With the win, the Bears improved to 34-58.
Guerrero made it look easy. He scattered 3 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 4-10.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Guerrero, "and then get after it again."
