Daegu starter Juan González kept the Gimpo offense under clamps, while his team rolled to victory, 11-1. Guo-liang Tso was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. Daegu occupies 4th place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Hanguk League at 37-44.

The Gorillas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Dragons going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old first baseman Abel Randall came to the plate. Randall hit a 3-run home run on a full count curveball from Gimpo hurler Bryan Ingram. It was Randall's 8th home run of the year.

Randall told a Daegu News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
