Valdéz hits 2 home runs, Leads Shamans to Win
The 14-6 Jeonju win over Busan was due largely to Iván Valdéz. The Shamans second baseman went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Kian Burke, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held Busan to 5 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Earning his 2nd save for Jeonju was Brad Stewart.

Félix Rojas hit a 2-run triple off Pedro Jiménez in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Shamans in front, 4-3. Rojas had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 5.

"We all want to win," said Valdéz. "We all want to do our part."

The 5th-place Shamans improved to 33-42.
