Morning Swords Rally For 6-2 Win
|
The Gimpo Gorillas got a superb performance from pitcher Anthony Miller. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Suwon. The Morning Swords won the game, 6-2. Miller threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball. Zane Hester earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 4-0. Suwon now sits in first place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Hanguk League at 38-16.
Suwon used the timely hitting of Steve Hogan to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Morning Swords on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Hogan.
