Tight Tilt Goes to Gorillas, 3-2
|
The Gimpo Gorillas had to overcome a good performance from Sejong pitcher Rafael Ríos to claim a 3-2 win at The Cage. Ríos went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Thomas Howard earned save number 1 this season. With the victory, the Gorillas record now stands at 21-22.
Had Min-ho Tokko not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Tokko hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Gorillas.
"They played a better game than we did," said Sejong skipper Ralph McCabe.
