A 4-RBI performance from Naizen Kurihara, who is tied for 5th in the PC with a .562 slugging percentage, helped the Port Lincoln HS Trawlers beat the Dunedin HS Scots, 5-1. Port Lincoln HS reliever Brody Muirhead picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kaong Deng was saddled with the loss. The first-place Trawlers have won 6 in a row.

Kurihara had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Kaong Deng, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Trawlers a 4-1 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Kurihara.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Port Lincoln HS manager Marcos Sotelo.
