Old Guard Get Past Taitung HS for 4-3 Win
The Tainan City HS Old Guard had to overcome a fine effort from Taitung HS pitcher Alastair Lightfoot to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Old Guard Field. Lightfoot went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Tainan City HS pitcher Hark Li got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ewan Quigley got the loss. Taitung HS has now lost 4 straight.

Takeji Kouno was the walk-off hero for Tainan City HS. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Old Guard first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"It was a good effort all around," said Kouno.
