The New Orleans Trendsetters bested the Gloucester Fishermen, 10-7, at New Frontier Park. Toby Marriott was one of the standouts. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Manuel Velásquez notched his 1st save in 2 chances. New Orleans is 33-55 and Gloucester, with the loss, 27-59.
Marriott had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Juan Pérez, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Trendsetters a 10-7 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Marriott.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Marriott.
