The Edo Battousai faced a tough opponent in Kure pitcher Manuel Flores, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Newark Grounds by a final score of 4-1. Flores went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Edo won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Joe Evans on the mound for Kure, right fielder Ryan Brown hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Battousai fans to their feet.
