Wardens Deal Battousai 2-1 Setback
The Taipei Wardens picked up a win at Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium, knocking off the Edo Battousai, 2-1. On the mound for Taipei was right-hander Dani Montés, who played a pivotal role in the win. Montés went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-8. Tom Dodd was credited with the save, his 4th in 4 tries.

Dennis Hollick, the Taipei second baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 2-1, Wardens. For the game, Hollick was 1 for 3. He drove in 2 runs.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Edo manager Cory Pierce.
