Gakidou took on Salton Sea in front of a lively crowd.
The Gakidou Onryou knocked off the Salton Sea Kilmers, 12-1, at Gakidou Fields. Jim Robinson was a big reason Gakidou won. The first baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once. Zheng-xin Guo got the win, improving to 7-5. He worked 6 innings, giving up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. George Burke got credit for the save for Gakidou. It was his 2nd of the year.
With Gakidou leading 9-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Robinson came up to bat against Salton Sea pitcher Manny Guzmán. Robinson hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Onryou on top, 12-1.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Robinson.
The first-place Onryou have won 4 in a row.
