Loss to Battousai Extends Taipei Losing Streak
|
Motoki Sakei never let the Wardens get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Battousai to a win, 4-0. Sakei, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 2, walking 5, and allowing no runs. Taipei's current losing streak is now 7 games.
Eric Constable had a big 2-run double for the Battousai in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Edo leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Dani Montés and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Battousai ahead, 4-0.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Sakei said.
