Wardens Snatch Late Win
The rain came, as predicted, but the Taipei Wardens and Kuwana Steel Dragons were able to complete their ballgame.

Taipei rode a decent outing from starter Sen Nishimura to victory over the Kuwana Steel Dragons. The final score was 5-3. Ralph Alonzo closed the game out for Taipei, earning his 1st save.

Taipei used the timely hitting of Marvin Miller to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Wardens on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll savor this win," Miller told the Taipei Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."

The Wardens are now 14-27, while the Steel Dragons fall to 23-18.
