Blanchard HS Loses Again, 3-1
|
Carrollton HS beat Blanchard HS on the strength of starter Gary Luker's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. John Fields got the save, the 6th for him this season. The misery continues for the Ligers, which has now dropped 10 in a row.
Dan Corbin, who is tied for 8th in the EL in triples with 3, aided the Carrollton HS cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder went 1-2 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Winning a ballgame these days," losing manager Nick Kuhn told reporters, "is harder than big game hunting without a gun."
