Shin Seiki Beats Reno, 3-1
|
Alberto Flores never let the Zephyrs get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Evas to a win, 3-1. Flores, now 5-9, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Shin Seiki is 4th in the Sovereign League Rising Sun with a record of 41-42.
Ryo Takahashi, the 27-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Takahashi contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Shin Seiki up, 2-0.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Takahashi told the Shin Seiki Today.
