Brown Lifts Industrialists to 9-2 Win
|
The Hamilton Industrialists stopped the Gatineau Balloonists, 9-2, at Hamilton Grounds. The Industrialists got a big game from Michael Brown, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Adam Pemberton picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. On the season, he is now 7-5. Kenny Goodman was credited with the save for Hamilton, his 8th of the season.
Had Song-shil Ham not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ham hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Industrialists.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Ham.
With the win, Hamilton upped its record to 50-33.
