Skyelanders Drop Kingpins, 4-2

Glendale Skyelanders starter Víctor Peña hurled his team past the Iowa City Kingpins, 4-2. Peña went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 7-8. With the win, the Skyelanders improved to 50-43.
Glendale second baseman Ken Fields contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 56th hit of the season and put the Skyelanders ahead, 2-1.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Fields said.
