Gigans Topple Puckmen, 6-2, as Norrish Shines
Billy Norrish was a major factor in the 6-2 Niigata win over Namuko. The Gigans second baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Niigata pitcher Emílio Torres got the win. He's now 9-7. Ralph Coolen was tagged with the loss. Mokichi Tsuchiya finished the game for Niigata and earned his 1st save.

With Niigata leading 3-2 in the top of the sixth, Norrish hit a 2-run single off Namuko hurler Alonso Hernández. It was the 65th hit of the season for Norrish and put his team ahead, 5-2.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Norrish.
