|
The Henderson Fighting Scotts overcame a good performance by Chandler left fielder Bartho Schoof to knock off Chandler, 7-6, at Ballpark of Henderson. Schoof went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win belongs to Alberto Rivera in relief. His record improves to 3-1. César González took the loss for Chandler. Henderson now sits at 58-30, while Chandler falls to 50-38.
The Fighting Scotts benefited from an error in the bottom of the fifth inning. Henderson was trailing 6-5 when Sean Saunders hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Henderson in front, 7-6.
Saunders said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
