Emancipation Topple Skyelanders, 4-3

The Lincoln Emancipation picked up a win at Emancipation Stadium, knocking off the Glendale Skyelanders, 4-3. On the mound for Lincoln was right-hander Raúl Martínez, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Martínez, now 2-5. He tossed 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Roberto Alicea sewed up the save, his 10th.
The Emancipation got a big hit from designated hitter Sadakuno Sai. In the bottom of the sixth, Sai smacked a 3-run home run off Glendale pitcher Víctor Peña. It was his 15th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Emancipation were ahead, 4-2.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Glendale skipper Michael Johnson, "and it cost us."
Lincoln is now 23-60, Glendale 44-39.
