Taipei Gets 6-1 Win Against Steel Dragons
The Taipei Wardens beat the Kuwana Steel Dragons, 6-1, at Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium. Starting pitcher Sen Nishimura was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Nishimura got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 8 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Nishimura allowed 1 run. Marc Price finished the game for Taipei and earned his 1st save.

In the bottom of the third, Taipei designated hitter Armando Díaz had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Díaz stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-1, Taipei. For the game, he was 1 for 4.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Nishimura told a Taipei Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
