Battousai Stick Arsenal with 3-1 Loss
|
Edo Battousai pitcher Carlos Sánchez was all business, helping his team muzzle the Kure Arsenal, 3-1. Sánchez went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-1. Brad Robinson, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
William Allen had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Edo. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Edo in front, 3-1.
After the game, Allen refused to speak to a reporter for the Edo Times. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
Early on, the Battousai, at 12-5, have played an impressive brand of baseball.
