Osakasayama Swamp Dragons starter Masayuki Tashima was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Maui Mahi-Mahi, 4-2. Osakasayama is now 26-10, while Maui is 22-14.
Wu-jiang Siu dealt the Mahi-Mahi a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Osakasayama leading 2-0, Siu, who is tied for 2nd in the HL in hits with 46, hit a 0-1 changeup for a 2-run single.
"We did a lot of things right," said Tashima.
