The Kauai Monsters topped the Waimalu Nene, 4-3, in Hawaiian League action at Brewers Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Kauai pitcher and Guilin, China, native Chee-hwa Shao. Kauai bumps their record to 20-12 with the win.

With a runner on 1st and one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, catcher Kiyoshi Mizuno delivered big for the Monsters. Kauai was trailing 3-1 when he belted a 2-run home run.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Shao.
