Palm Springs Shuts Out Crystal Lake, 5-0
|
Palm Springs Codgers hurler Ryan Tate was at his best as he beat the Crystal Lake Sandgnats, 5-0.
"He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Crystal Lake manager Joe Matterson. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."
Tate fired a 2-hitter and totaled 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout performance.
This season Tate has nailed down no saves with 43 strikeouts in 65 innings. He is credited with 4 wins and 3 losses and has a 3.32 earned run average.
