The Ewa Beach Imperialists did just enough to secure a victory over the Kobayashi Fireflies, 3-2, at Blacksnakes Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Iván Enríquez. Gabriel López, now 3-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Haruki Matsui closed the game out for Ewa Beach, earning his 1st save.
Ewa Beach needed the clutch hitting of Fernando García to notch the win. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Imperialists on top, 3-2. For the game, García had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Ewa Beach manager Jonathan Cook.
With the win, the Imperialists improved to 17-7.
