Scottish and Kentucky took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Scottish Claymores took Kentucky pitcher Roberto Rivera's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Castle. The final score had Scottish getting past the Thoroughbreds, 5-4. Rivera went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 8. Scottish is now 49-25.

Scottish took a 5-4 lead on Eric Nelson's 20th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Kentucky pitcher Mike Travis in the bottom of the eighth.

Nelson said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
