Polanco hits 23rd home run in Prospectors Win
The timely hitting of Gustavo Polanco helped the Skagway Prospectors down the Kenai Traders, 7-3. Polanco went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Prospectors. Skagway reliever Norm Greer picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. Kent Davis shouldered the loss. The win puts the Prospectors at 36-68, while the Traders drop to 59-45.

In the bottom of the eighth, Polanco put his team in front with his 23rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Jim Flores, made it 6-3, Skagway.

Polanco called the triumph "a good team win."
