Traders Hang 7-5 Loss on Gunslingers
The Kenai Traders topped the Dawson City Gunslingers, 7-5, in Alaskan League action at Metros Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Kenai pitcher and Havana, Cuba, native Ricardo Moreno. Mario Luna notched his 10th save in 13 chances. Kenai now sits at 45-34, while Dawson City falls to 44-35.

The Gunslingers had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Traders going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old shortstop Nherbert Pamiza came to the plate. Pamiza hit a 3-run home run on a 1-0 changeup from Dawson City hurler Rubén López. It was Pamiza's 10th home run of the year.

"A great game, a great day," said Moreno about the win. "I can't complain."
