Okazaki Shines in 6-5 Cold Bay Win
The Cold Bay Eleven topped the Fairbanks Grunts, 6-5, with designated hitter Takeji Okazaki playing a big role. Okazaki slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Eleven in the win. Cold Bay reliever Byron Dilley got the win, raising his record to 4-1. Antonio Gonçalves was tagged with the loss. The second-place Eleven have a record of 45-23.

Okazaki came through with some timely hitting for Cold Bay. With Fairbanks trailing 4-3 in the top of the ninth, Okazaki hit a 2-1 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 16th home run of the season made it 6-4, Cold Bay.

"Winning is contagious," said Okazaki. "We're looking forward to the next game."
