In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Getting a good performance from second baseman Suezo Ishihara, the Fairbanks Grunts defeated the Ketchikan Salmon, 10-3. Ishihara was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Grunts. Bertrand Glanville picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-1. He struck out 3 in 5 innings. Albert Serrano notched his 1st save in 1 chances.

Ishihara made an early impact for Fairbanks when he stroked his 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Grunts on top, 3-0.

"We'll put that win in the can," said Ishihara, "and go after the next one."

Fairbanks occupies third place in the Alaskan League Klondike at 34-26.
