The Fairbanks Grunts topped the Dawson City Gunslingers, 11-9, in Alaskan League action at Ballpark of Dawson City. The game was highlighted by the performance of Fairbanks right fielder Ángelo Contreras. Bertrand Glanville, the winner, improved to 6-1. He held the Gunslingers to 4 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Ethan Taylor locked down his 8th save.

Gilberto López put Fairbanks in front, 11-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Lewis Strudwick in the top of the fourth. It was his 7th home run of the season.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Tuo-zhou Yang said.

With the win, Fairbanks has a record of 31-24. Dawson City falls to 28-27.
