Lions Earn 6-5 Win Versus Hitmen
|
The Amsterdam Lions turned back the New Jersey Hitmen, 6-5, at Mercer County Waterfront Park. Forrest Aldridge, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The third-place Lions have won 5 in a row.
Aldridge had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 curveball from Toshiki Miyata, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Lions a 6-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Aldridge.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Aldridge.
