Buccaneers Suffer 4-2 Setback
The Barbe HS Buccaneers got a superb performance from pitcher Stanley Kerr. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Union City HS. The Hillers won the game, 4-2. Kerr threw 5.0 innings of 2-hit ball. With the win, Union City HS goes to 5-3.

In the bottom of the sixth, Union City HS pinch hitter Joseph Cox put his team on top. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit his 1st double of the year. Barbe HS pitcher Ben Schultz served it up. Just like that, the Hillers were ahead, 3-2.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Cox told the Union City HS Times.
