Underground Improve to 82-55 with 3-2 Win
|
London and Arlington played a hard-fought contest.
London starter Dave Robertson pitched well against the Arlington Bureaucrats at Jane P. Woods Memorial Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Jorge Ruíz earned the save for London, his 15th.
London used the clutch hitting of Mike Roberts to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Underground the lead, 2-1. For the game, Roberts had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"This is truly a great team to play with," Roberts said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
The last-place Bureaucrats have dropped 4 straight games.
