Eric Nelson impressed in the 7-3 Scottish win over Arlington. Nelson, who is tied for 2nd in the IL with a 1.130 OPS, went 5-7 with a home run, a double, and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win hiked the Scottish record to 45-24.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Tomás Martínez came to bat in the top of the 14th. Facing Arlington pitcher John Jenkins, he hit a 1-2 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Scottish on top, 4-3.

"I expect to carry this team on my shoulders at times," said Nelson.
